“Feminism doesn’t have to be the F-Word”
The YWCA’s FEM (Feminist Empowerment Movement) Collective Halifax will be meeting on the first Thursday of every month.
This collective is an initiative to gather like-minded Halifax Feminists to share their lived experiences, discuss difficult topics, and continue the fight for equity in our society!
DATE: First Thursday of every month
TIME: 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm (18h00 à 20h00)
LOCATION: Radstorm, 2177 Gottingen Street, Halifax
COST: Free
ACCESSIBILITY: Radstorm has a ramp to get in to the building, and the meeting will take place on the first floor.
FOOD: Light refreshments will be served with coffee, tea, and water. (Please inform us of allergies or dietary restrictions). You are more than welcome to bring something to share, but please don’t feel obligated to do so.
SPECIAL REQUEST: Please bring feminist books, articles, poems, and other forms of literature and knowledge to share and/or part with at the end of the night. Attendees are encouraged to take some “new-to-you” literature home with them.
SAFE SPACE: This meeting will be taking place in a Safer Space. Discrimination and inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.
