LAL workshop! TIME TBD – 6pm? Life drawing switch to later time or another day?
Join Rosina Kazi and Nicholas Murray from the band LAL in a group sound making / spoken
word collaborative workshop. We will create and record a musical background with found
sounds and our bodies (hands, mouths, feet!) as well as creating poetry / spoken word /
abstract word pieces and each participant will get an mp3 of the work created. This will be a
collaborative process and an introduction to recording and sound creation.
This is open to all, with experience or without any experience at all. LAL has been performing
and recording for over 20 years and have been conducting sound workshops all over the
Toronto area.
LAL works from an anti-oppressive, Queer / Trans, anti-racist, Feminist and abolitionist
perspective.
time: 2-3 hours
space needed: 2 rooms, 1 for recording in quiet if possible
LAL will bring all equipment to record
equipment needed: 1 speaker or amp to plug laptop into
number of participants: 6-15 people
